At Østerland, we work closely with a trusted network of artisans and producers across the Middle East and Afghanistan to turn ideas into thoughtfully made products. We develop and coordinate each project from concept and design to sourcing, prototyping, production and delivery.

Whether you have a clear vision or just the spark of an idea, we help shape the concept, find the right materials and craftspeople, develop prototypes and oversee production to ensure the final product meets your needs.

Over the past five years, we have partnered with companies and cultural institutions to create unique, custom-made products. Our projects include specially designed keyrings for Elk Film’s documentary on a travelling circus in Afghanistan, as well as bespoke card holders and other commissioned pieces.

Every project is developed exclusively for you, in close collaboration with the people who make it. By working directly with skilled artisans and producers, we create products that combine thoughtful design with traditional craftsmanship — while helping create meaningful employment opportunities within the communities we work with.
