Meet author, historian and journalist Waleed Safi from Weekendavisen as he talks about his critically acclaimed book Alle veje fører til Mekka (All Roads Lead to Mecca) – a journey through the past and present of the Middle East.

Combining historical insight, personal memories, travel experiences and stories from the people he meets on his journey to Mecca, Waleed Safi offers a nuanced and vivid perspective on a region too often reduced to headlines about conflict and war.

The conversation will be moderated by Rasmus Bøgeskov, former journalist at Politiken, who now lives in Cairo and has extensive knowledge of the Middle East.
