In October, we opened the doors to our new shop - and some weeks ago we held our opening reception for friends, family, collaborators, and customers.
We were overwhelmed, happy, and exhausted after that day. And above all, deeply grateful for all the wonderful people who support us and help make Østerland possible.
At the reception, Luna Ersahin stopped by and played a couple of beautiful songs. Luna is an artist we have admired for a long time, so it means even more that she wanted to come by.
A special thank you goes to Klaus, Mathilde’s father, for making the shop possible with lights, tools, and a big smile. To Elle for helping design our beautiful counter, sparring with us on the interior - and now creating the loveliest window display in all of Nørrebro. Thank you to Lisa for sewing the most beautiful curtains for the counter, Idil for finding our curtains and other Turkish interior pieces, and Maja Høm for sewing the beautiful bags that are now available in the shop. And to Waleed and Emil - thank you for always being there.
