Kutnu Pillow Cases l Kilis, Turkey
Our kutnu cases are sewn by hand by our master Syrian tailor living in southeastern Turkey. The kutnu textile is from Gaziantep, a province in Turkey, right at the border to Syria.
The name “kutnu” comes from Arabic “kut’n” meaning “cotton”. The production of kutnu dates back to the 16th century. At the time, it was celebrated as the “palace fabric” across the Ottoman Empire. It symbolized power, beauty, and elegance.
